Steve Hackett is back and better than ever. At the age of 64, Steve is on the road again with the Genesis Revisited tour. He’s out applying his virtuoso skills, showcasing the early prog rock sound Genesis fans long for. Though not a founding member, Steve was brought on board in 1970 when Peter Gabriel was still leading the way. Recording with the band on the 1971 Nursery Cryme album, Genesis quickly recognized Steve’s classical influence and ability to collaborate. Following Peter G’s departure, Steve’s influence diminished. He was the first Genesis member to issue a solo album Voyage of the Acolyte in 1975. His second solo Please Don’t Touch was released in 1978 and featured guest artists Richie Haven and Joe Walsh. He left Genesis after the Wind and Wuthering tour in 1977. Steve remains busy as a solo artist, continuing to satisfy his classical rock fans. 2012 saw his release of Genesis Revisited. Genesis was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010.
