They’ll roam the States, serving up a feast of fine tunes that will help you remember what rock was and still can be. The tour will present “Quadrophenia” plus Who classics. Word is out. Mick Jagger is working with a new group named ” Super Heavy”. Teaming up with Dave Stewart, Joss Stone and Damien Marley, the group has supposedly been recording for the last 18 months. Even though Mick and Keith have been contemplating a 50th anniversary tour. there is no Rolling Stones tour currently planned. Some fans point to fallout from Keith’s lashing of Mick in a recent memoir. Others say the Stones are finished. But we’ve heard that before. And since neither Keith or Mick will deny a final tour, RockSite will keep the faith that a Rolling Stones 2012 tour is very possible, if not likely. Hopefully we’ll soon get to enjoy Mick and “Super Heavy”. The fans and road await. Oh yeah, Mick’s daughter Elizabeth has posed nude for Playboy. Time is definitely on her side.
Former Alice In Chains bassist Mike Starr has passed away. He was reportedly found dead at his residence early afternoon on March 8th. Mike was 44 years of age. Best known for his bass work with Alice in Chains, he left the band in 1993. Mike’s passing is second to the band’s original lead singer Layne Staley. Alice In Chains is currently taking a break after touring hard on their latest album “Black Gives Way To Blue”.
The Bonnaroo Music Festival has announced most of it’s lineup, featuring a great spectrum of artist. Eminem, Lil’ Wayne, Widespread Panic, The Strokes, Primus, Robert Plant, and more. Neil Young, Stephen Stills,and Richie Furay will team up as Buffalo Springfield. Another great selection of bands awaits the droves of thirsty rock fans. Stay hydrated.
