The Rolling Stones have announced their tour, and will be hitting the U.S. in May. 50 & Counting, the Glimmer Twins and company once again take their tunes on the road. Fans have been waiting with baited breath, and now all their dreams will come true. The boys have proven they still have the strut and jam to make it happen. The Stones five performances last year demonstrated they’re not done yet. This tour will start out west and head east. Maybe the last time, I don’t know.
The Stones are back and rolling out live to celebrate their 50th anniversary. Yes, it’s true. Not quite a tour, but select dates in three cities. Hope your checking account can handle the prime seating prices. Some tickets are going for over $2000. Also released, another greatest hits collection with two new cuts. Doom and Gloom and One More Shot are the offerings seven years after The Bigger Bang. Not to mention the release of their latest documentary, Crossfire Hurricane. So is this it? The last stand from our rock heros, destine to ride off into the sunset after slaying the beast and winning the world. A fitting exit for the greatest band ever. The glow will last forever. Oh, and book some time to tour the Rolling Stone archive for your home satisfaction.
Word is out. Mick Jagger is working with a new group named ” Super Heavy”. Teaming up with Dave Stewart, Joss Stone and Damien Marley, the group has supposedly been recording for the last 18 months. Even though Mick and Keith have been contemplating a 50th anniversary tour. there is no Rolling Stones tour currently planned. Some fans point to fallout from Keith’s lashing of Mick in a recent memoir. Others say the Stones are finished. But we’ve heard that before. And since neither Keith or Mick will deny a final tour, RockSite will keep the faith that a Rolling Stones 2012 tour is very possible, if not likely. Hopefully we’ll soon get to enjoy Mick and “Super Heavy”. The fans and road await. Oh yeah, Mick’s daughter Elizabeth has posed nude for Playboy. Time is definitely on her side.
