It’s official. The White Stripes are calling it quits. Formed in 1997, the Detroit duo were catapulted into fame after the successful “White Blood Cells” and “Elephant” albums. The band had a ferocious decade of touring. Their performances infamous for their intensity and hard rock. Though divorced, the breakup doesn’t mean bad feelings between Meg and Jack. In the interest of preserving the sanctity of the band, they’re moving on.
