The Scorpions are in the midst of their farewell tour. After over 40 years of rock, they’ve decided to retire the rock and roll machine. Most of us grew up listening to “Rock You Like A Hurricane”, “No One Like You”, “Send Me An Angel”,and “Wind of Change”. The boys still attack their music with energy and purpose. They’ve just released “Sting of the Tail”, and are tastefully mixing new material with greatest hits on this last tour.
Bono has seriously injured his back while rehearsing for upcoming summer dates. No word yet of expected recovery time for U2’s frontman. U2 website has this update.
Roger Waters takes The Wall on tour, celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the albums release. RockSite can’t wait, and has plans to attend at least one show. Those that saw Roger’s last tour, got the whole “Dark Side of the Moon” album in the first set. Then, in the second set, Roger and his band ripped through a great set of his solo works. For those who have grown up with “The Wall”, but haven’t experienced Roger live, this is a great opportunity to see the master perform his finest work.
